Everyone has a plan until they start drinking the best Danish pilsnerβ¦
All the pretty things came out on Saturday to celebrate one of the biggest Pride parades in Copenhagen history, leaving the town decked out in rainbow.
My plan: Take photos of all the cuties, celebrating free love.
The problem: Midway through taking photographs, I had my first pint of Tuborg beer. And I wanted another!
Tuborg, a Danish brewery now owned by Carlsberg, is popular among locals, especially those who are young. 'Cause it's super cheap?
The beer comes by special appointment of the Danish royal court. Everyone drinks it, including the local monarchy.
So there I was drinking beer for the first time in years. My camera put away to actually experience Copenhagen Pride.
As a result, I'm not proud of the few photos I took. I did enjoy myself pint after pint, though. And then I bumped into this warm handsome Scottish guy in piss alley.
I stood there most the night, drinking pilsner after pilsner with a smirk on my face not fully aware locals call it piss alley.
Nobly, I offered the warm handsome Scottish guy a pilsner and he drank it with me.
The warm handsome Scottish guy is likely the most memorable thing from my trip so far, but the time we shared together was tragically short.
The time I find myself getting with cuties these days is always too short, but that's why I take photos.
Creating special moments in time is more important to me than possessions. I like to capture them, keep them.
I let so many fine moments from the night go without getting them on camera, but they will stay with me forever.
Kissing Strangers at Dore Alley
The time I get with someone in a big bustling city like San Francisco is always so fleeting. So find someone you care about and never let them go.
