1. Bright, Susan, Art Photography Now (London: Thames & Hudson Ltd, 2005).

Bright explores art photography with a focus on portraits, landscape, narrative, object, fashion, documentary and city. She profiles leading photographers in each category and discusses what makes their shots unique. Most of the text is the photographers talking about their images and the meaning behind their process.
